Privacy Policy — The House
Last updated: October 15, 2026
The House ("the App", "we", "us") is published by The House club. This policy explains what information the App handles, where it is kept, and why. We collect only what is needed to run your membership.
1. What we keep on our servers
To review your application and let you sign in securely on any device, we store the following with our membership service:
- Your membership account: name, email address, handle, role (member, business, or concierge), the cities you selected, your company name and website if you applied as a business, your application status, and the date you accepted our Terms of Use.
- Friend invitations you send: the name and email address of the friend you invite, and the Concierge's decision on that invitation.
- Membership decisions: a record of the Concierge's decision on your application and of the email we sent you about it.
- Your activity in The House: the posts you share (including the links to your public posts on other platforms and your captions), comments, likes, shares, event RSVPs, points earned, and collaboration offers and responses — so that other members can see them and the leaderboard stays accurate.
- Messages and notices: your conversations with the Concierge and The House, announcements and notices you receive, and messages you send through "Write to the House".
- Safety records: reports you file, accounts you block, and moderation actions, so the Concierge can review them and keep the community safe.
Your password is handled by our authentication provider. We never see or store it.
2. What stays on your device
A copy of recent content is kept on your phone so the App opens quickly and can show the last known content when you are offline. It is tied to your account and removed when you sign out, delete your account, or uninstall the App. Your in-app preferences, such as biometric sign-in, are also stored on your device.
3. How we use your information
We use your information only to operate The House: to review applications, sign you in securely, show your posts and activity to other members, deliver your messages, keep the leaderboard and your membership status consistent across your devices, allow the Concierge to manage and moderate the community, and email you about your application.
We do not sell your information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. The App contains no analytics or advertising SDKs.
4. Service providers
We rely on a small number of trusted providers who process information only on our behalf and only to provide their service to us:
- Clerk — account sign-in, email verification codes, and device security.
- Resend — delivery of emails about your application.
- Replit — hosting of our membership server and database.
5. Third-party embedded content
When a member shares a public post from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, or Twitch, the App displays that post inside the feed using each platform's official embed view. Loading the embed causes your device to make a normal request directly to that platform — the same request your browser would make if you visited the embed URL. We do not act as an intermediary, we do not see what you load, and we do not store the loaded content. Each platform's own privacy policy and cookies apply inside the embedded view.
6. Biometric sign-in
If you enable Face ID or Touch ID, the biometric check is performed entirely by iOS. The App never sees your face or fingerprint data. When you turn biometric sign-in on, a secure sign-in key is created and kept on your device; it is used only after iOS confirms your identity. You can turn biometric sign-in off at any time from your profile, which removes that key.
7. Permissions the App requests
- Face ID / Touch ID — only if you enable biometric sign-in.
The App does not request access to your camera, microphone, photos, contacts, location, calendar, motion sensors, health data, or notifications.
8. Children
The House is intended for users 17 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 17. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Retention and account deletion
You can permanently delete your account at any time from inside the App:
- Members and brands: Profile tab → "Delete account" (two-step confirmation).
- Concierge (administrators): Concierge → Applications → tap any account → "Delete account". The last administrator account is protected from deletion to keep the system operable.
Deleting your account removes it from our membership server and from our authentication provider — together with your posts, comments, likes, RSVPs, messages, and notices — and removes all data associated with it from your device. Records of moderation actions may be kept where needed to keep the community safe.
Applications that are declined are deleted automatically two months after the decision, after which you are welcome to apply again.
Our email provider may retain basic delivery records (such as the recipient address and the time an email was sent) for a limited period, as part of operating its service.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and post the new version at the same URL. Material changes will also be announced inside the App.
